NCAAA visit to verify NU readiness for institutional academic accreditation

On Monday, May 13th, 2018 a delegation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) to verify its readiness for institutional accreditation.

The delegation, headed by Dr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi, Vice-Director for Institutional Accreditation, heard an overview about Najran University, its high capabilities to ensure the quality of the educational, research, and community outcomes according to the standards; its quality management system; and procedures of conducting the self study. In the beginning, a meeting was held with the Vice-Rectors and the Dean for Development and Quality to review the University's accomplishments and to reply to the questions of the delegation. Afterward, the delegation paid a visit to the Physical Therapy at the College of Applied Medical Sciences to investigate the efficiency and preparations of the laboratories, some laboratories at the College of Education, and Prince Misha'al bin Abdullah Library.

The Vice-Rector for Development and Quality Dr. Yahya Hefdhy illustrated that the University could fulfill all academic accreditation requirements, showing that it officially applied for the institutional accreditation on Thursday 20/11/2018.

Later, a hearing session was held by the head of consultants' team to show the automatic systems that the University utilized for the quality management system, as well as the University's strengths.

By the end, the room holding the University documents at the Vice-Rectorship for Development and Quality was inspected. It held all the documents of the Developmental Evolution Project, the documents and qualifications and touchstones of institutional accreditation, the self-study report, the eleven appendices of NCAAA, the files and samples of the courses of various programs.
